La participación en el aclamado «talent show» fue una decisión impulsada por la insistencia de sus familias. El dúo, con diez años de trayectoria y cinco discos editados, buscaba una plataforma para mostrar su trabajo y sus canciones propias, muchas de las cuales le cantan a su tierra y a sus raíces. La impecable fusión y ensamble de sus voces resultó decisivo: Soledad Pastorutti fue la primera en presionar el botón de aceptación, un hecho que subraya el impacto de su propuesta en un género tan particular.
Mauri Tarantola enfatizó la importancia fundamental del apoyo familiar en su carrera. «Si la familia no te acompaña es muy difícil, se hace cuesta arriba todo», señaló, agradeciendo el acompañamiento de sus parejas, quienes también recibieron numerosas muestras de cariño.
